Marriott Hotels Orlando

Marriott Hotels Orlando

Stayed with my family after a Disney Cruise. We wanted a nice hotel with great pool and surroundings so the kids could just swim, swim, swim. We always do theme parks when in Orlando, but wanted to just relax this time. That is exactly what we did. The grounds were lovely...we all loved the lagoon style pool and lazy river. This JW was definitely a step above a regular Marriott and had lots of activities to offer. Pool servers were efficient and not intrusive. All five of us loved sharing the chicken nachos....there was enough in one order to feed a horse! I went for a run several times around this unique property and thoroughly enjoyed the scenary (after the nachos!). The Ritz is next door and all amenities are shared between the two hotels. Beautiful lake, golf course and even the Marriott Vacation Club next door looks very upscale. You are allowed to use Ritz pool, but not vacation club pool. The rooms are very clean and newly renovated. All staff members we encountered were delightful. We felt like we were away from the Orlando craziness, but in a
short drive we could be in the thick of it.

There is a huge convention hall between the two properties and they were setting up for a big show while we were there...wonder if things would have been different once all those attendees were there too. Our kids made lots of friends at the pool and we met many nice families This hotel was definitely pricier, we felt, for Orlando. Kids meals at the pool were $10! Restaurants were on the high end too. But no complaints on the service, quality and overall experience. We booked a package that gave us two rooms, breakfast and a few other amenities, and we loved that! We got a vacation that was exactly what we wanted, so worth every penny...would love to go back, but not if doing theme parks. Too nice of a hotel to spend all day at parks not fully enjoying the hotel amenities.
